i) In museums, specimens are preserved for longer duration by placing them in chemical preservatives.
ii) The preserved specimens of plants in the museums inform us about their habitat, nature of soil and flora of that area.
iii) The museums provide first hand information about the characters, identification, naming and classification of organisms.
