To check te correctness of a physcial relation following steps are followed :
Step 1 : Write the dimensional formula of every quantity involved in the relation .
Step 2 : Apply the principle of homogeneity.
Step 3 : If the dimensions of R.H.S are equal to that of the L.H.S of the relation then the physical relation is dimensionally correct
