The time rate of charge of displacment of an object is called velocity.
Velocity`= ("Displacement")/("Time")`
Velocity is a vector quantity. It can be positive, zro or negative depending upon the displacement. The SI unit of velocity is `ms^ (-1).` The CGS unit of velocity is `cm s ^(-1)`
The dimensional formula for velocity is `M ^(0) L ^(1) T ^(-1).`
