We are given : `h = 1960 , u= 0 ms ^(-1) an , g = 9.8 m//s ^(2)`
We are to calculate, Time (t) taken by balloon to reach the ground.
Using relation, `h = ut + (1)/(2) g t ^(2) , ` we get ` 1960 = 0 xx t+ (1)/(2) xx 9.8 t ^(2)`
or `t ^(2) = ( 1960)/(4.9) = 400 or t = sqrt (400) = 20 s`
