A series combination of three resistor takes a current of 2A from a 24 V supply. If the resistors are in the ratio `1:2:3`, find the values f the unknown resistors.

V = 24 V
I = 2A
Net resistance of circuit
`=R = V/I = 24/2 = 12Omega`
Three resistors of resistances `R_1, R_2 and R_3` are in series and in the ratio 1:2:3.
Let `R_1 = x`
` R+2 = 2x`
`R_3 = 3x`
Let `R_3` = Net resistance of series combination of `R_1, R_2 and R_3`
`R_s = R_1 + R_2 + R_3 = x + 2x + 3x = 6x`
But `R_s = R`
` implies 6x = 12 `
x = 2
`implies R_1 = x= 2Omega`
` R_2 = 2x = 2 xx 2 = 4Omega`
`R_3 = 3x = 3 xx 2 = 6Omega`
