If the two slits in Young's double slit experiment have width ratio `16:1`, deduce the ratio of intensity at maxima and minima in the interfernce pattern.

Let `w_(1)` and `w_2` be the slit widths and
`w_(1)/w_(2) = 16/1`
`rArr a/b = sqrt(w_(1)/w_(2)) = sqrt(16/1) = 4`
`I_("maxi")/I_("mini") = (a//b+1)^(2)/(a//b-1)^(2) = (4+1)^(2)/(4-1)^(2)`
`=(5)^(2)/(3)^(2) = 25/9 = 25:9`
