Explain space wave propagation of radio waves.

Space communication: The communication process in which the propagation of waves takes place through the space is known as space communication.
Space wave propagation : The communication process in which the propagation of waves from transmitting antenna, to the receiving antenna takes place by any of the following modes is known as space wave propagation
(i) Directly (ii) Reflection from the ground (ii) Reflection from the troposphere.
The transmitting antenna transmits the signal which reaches the receiving antenna directly by following path TR. These signals can also reach the receiving antenna after reflecting from the ground. The only disadvantage of this communication is phase reversal after ground reflection.
The transmitted signals can also reach the receiving antenna after reflection from the troposphere which is up to 12 km from the surface of the earth. This mode of transmission can be used for transmitting high frequency TV signals.
