Define point defects....

Define point defects.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

A crystal behave as an ideal or perfect crystal at a temperature of absolute zero and is free from any type of defects. But with rise in temperature defect arises due to either cations and anions missing from the crystal lattice or occupying positions else where in the lattice. These defects are called point defects.
