How does electrolytic conductance vary with concentration of weak electrolytes ? Explain.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

In case of strong electrolytes:
(a) Molar conductance increases slightly on dilution. It is due to weakning of inter ionic attractive forces. However, there is not change in the degree of dissociation of strong electrolyte.
(b) Specific conductance or conductivity decreases on dilution. this is due to cecrease in number of ions per unit volume.
