What are difference between narrow spectrum and broad spectrum antibiotics.

Antibiotic which kill or inhibit a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria are called broad specturm antibiotics. On the other hand, the antibiotics which are effective mainly against gram-positive or gram-negative bacteria are called narrow spectrum antiboitics .
