Cationic detergents. These are quarternary ammonium salts or amines with chlorides, bromides or acetates as anion. Cationic part has a long hydrocarbon chain and a positive charge on nitrogen atom. Cetyltrimethyl-ammonium bromide is a common cationic detergent.
