Non-ionic detergents

Explanation

Nonionic detegents. These detergents.do not contain any ion in their molecule. One such detergent is obtaind when stetic acid reacts with polyethylene glycol.

Here the end containing -OH group is hydrophilic part while the long chain is hydrophobic art. These detergents are less foaming but have a better cleasing power than other types of detergents. These are quite expensive and are used for making liquid dishwashing detergents used in dish washers and high grade detergent powders used infront loading washing machines.
