Hybrid is the organism produced by the crossing of two genetically different individuals.
Hybridisation is mainly of three types-
(i) Inter varietal (Intraspecific)
(ii) Inter-specific (Intrageneric)
(iii) Inter-generic
Objectives. It brings about useful genetic/heritable variations of 2 more lines together in a progeny.
