Explain the concept of pyramid of biomass.

Pyramid of biomass is defined as the total weight of dry weight of dry matter present in an ecosystem in one time. The graphical representation of biomass of each trophic level in a food chain is called as pyramid of biomass. It is mostly erect or upright. but in a aquatic food chain it becomes inverted as shown.
