The correct Answer is:
4

`y=x tan theta-(9x^(2))/(2u^(2) cos^(2) theta)`
`10=40 tan theta-(10xx1600(1+tan^(2) theta))/(2xx900)`
`10=40 tan theta-80/9-80/9 tan^(2) theta`
`8/9 tan^(2) theta-4 tan theta+17/9=0`
`8 tan^(2) theta-36 tan theta+17=0`
`tan alpha+tan beta=36/8`
`tan alpha+tan beta=17/8`
`tan (alpha+beta)=(tan alpha+tan beta)/(1-tan alpha tan beta)`
`=(36//8)/(1-17/8)=(36//8)/(-9//8)=-4`
So `|tan(alpha+beta)|=|-4|=4`

Two rings of radii 5m and 10m move in opposite directions with velocity 20 m/s and 10 m/s respectively, on a conducting curface S. There is a uniform magnetic field of magnitude 0.1T perpendicular to the plane of the rings. Find the potential difference between the highest points of the two rings.

Two toy trains each of mass 'M' are moving in opposite directions with velocities v_1 and v_2 over two smooth rails. Two stuntmen of mass 'm' each are also moving with the trains (at rest w.r.t. trains). When trains are opposite to each other the stuntmen interchange their positions, then find the final velocities of the trains.
