The moon and the planets do not twinkle. Why? Can you see the stars twinkling when observed from the moon? Why?

The moon and planets are nearer to the earth as compared to the stars and are considered to be large extended sources. Hence, the slight deviations in the rays caused by the atmospheric fluctuations are not noticeable. No, we cannot see stars twinkling when observed from the moon because there is no atmosphere on the moon to refract light.
