Depending upon the habit of plants, the angiosperms are of following types `:`
(i) Herbs `:` These are small, soft , nonwoody plants without persistent parts above ground. The height of plant reaches upto 1m. Examples `:` Brassica, sugar beet, etc.
(ii) Shrubs `:` These are woody plants of relatively low height ( 1-4m) . They are mostly perennial. Example `:` Rose.
(iii) Trees `:` These are perennial woody plants with one main trunk. The trunk may or may not be branched. The unbranched trunks are columnar. Exampler `:` Palm tree.
(iv) Climbers `:` These palnts have weak stem and special organs. These organs help them to ascend overneighbouring object . A woody climber is called liana.
(v) Creeper `:` A plant with weak horizontal shoot that develops roots throughout.
(vi) Twiners `:` A plant with weak and thin stem. It ascends by coiling and does not develop any special organs for this purpose.
(vii) Trailer `:` It is a plant with weak and thin shoots lying prostrate on the ground.
