Out of NaCl and `BaCl_(2)` aqueous solutions which shows more elevation in boiling point and Why ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Elevation in boiling point is a colligative property hence depends upon number of moles of solute. Out of `NaClandBaCl_(2),BaCl_(2)` give three moles of ions whereas NaCl gives two moles of ions. Therefore `BaCl_(2)` have more number of ions after dissociation, hence cause more elevation in boiling point.
