How is the electro-chemical series helpful in determining whether a metal can displace hydrogen from acid or not ? Explain.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

All the elements, placed above hydrogen in electro-chemical series, can displace hydrogen from the acid. For example, zinc is above hydrogen in the electrochemical series. Therefore, it can displace hydrogen from the acid.
