What is difference between minerals and ores?

The natural substances in which metals occur either in native state or in combined state are called minerals. The minerals, from which metal can be extracted economically and easily are calied ore. For example, bauxite and clay are the two minerals of aluminium, whereas the ore of aluminium is only bauxite.
