How will you convert pyrolusite ore into potassium permanganate ? Give the chemical reactions only.

Pyrolusite ore can be converted into potassium permanganate by following steps :
Step I: Pyrolusite is treated with KOH in.presence of air or potassium nitrate or potassium chlorate to get potassiom manganate.
`2MnO_2 + 4KOH + O_2 to underset("Potassium manganate (green)")(2K_2MnO_4) + 2H_2O`
Step II : Potassium manganate is bubbled with `CO_2 or Cl_2` or oxygen to get potassium permanganate as:
`3K_2MnO_4 + 2CO_2 to underset("Potassium permanganate")(2KMnO_4) + MnO_2 + 2K_2CO_3`
