Why solubility of alcohols in water decreases with increase in molecular mass ?

As the molecular mass of the alcohol increases, the size of alkyl group (R) also increases. So, the magnitude of hydrogen bonding decreases. Hence, solubility of alcohol decreases with increase in their molecular mass. Hydrogen bonding between alcohol molecules and water molecules can be shown as:
