Formic acid is stronger acid than acetic acid. Justify.

Acetic acid is weaker acid than formic acid due to the presence of methyI group. `CH_3`- group is electron releasing in nature and hence electron density increases on oxygen atom of O -H bond. It makes removal of `H^(+)` ions difflcult. These is no such case in formic acid. Hence, acetic acid is less acidic than formic acid.
