We are to find out the wavelength, frequency and wave number of a light.
(i) Frequency `(v) = (1)/(T) = (1)/( 2 . 0 xx 10 ^(-10)) = 5xx 10 ^(9) s ^(-1)`
`V = v xx lamda `
`3 xx 10 ^(8 ) = 5 xx 10^(9) xx lamda [ c =` velocity of light `= 3 xx 10 ^(8) ms ^(-1) ]`
(ii) Wavelength `(lamda ) = (3 xx 10 ^(8))/( 5 xx 10 ^(9)) = 6. 0 xx 10 ^(-2) m`
(iii) Wave number `(vec v) = (1)/ ( lamda ) = (1)/( 6. 0 xx 10 ^(-2)) = (100)/(6) = 16. 66 m ^(-1)`
