Explain the dual behaviour of matter....

Explain the dual behaviour of matter.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

According to dual behaviour of matter, all the material particles in motion, like radiations possess both wave as well as particle like properties. This is called the dual behaviour of matter. This can be explained by de-Broglie.s equation as given below.
`lamda = ( h)/( mv) = (h)/(p)`
where m is the mass of the particle, v is the velocity in case of material particles and p is the momentuin.
de-Broglie equation has no significance in daily life.
