Determine K(p) for the reaction : A(g)...

Determine `K_(p)` for the reaction :
`A(g) + B(s) hArr C(g) + D(g), K_(c) = 49 at `127^(@)C`.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

We are given that
`K_(c )= 49`
`T = 127^(@)C`
We are t find out the value of `K_(p)`
As we know that, `K_(p) = K_(c) (RT)^(Delta n_(g))`
`T = 127^(@)C = 400 K, R = 0.082` atm `K^(-1) mol^(-1)`
`Delta n_(g) = 2-1 = 1`
So, `K_(p) = 49(0.082 xx 400)^(1) = 49 xx 32.8 = 1607.2 = 1.6 xx 10^(3) "kP"_(a)`
