Carbon monoxide is highly toxic in nature. It has tendency to combine with haemoglobin present in blood to form carboxyhaemoglobin.
Haemoglobin + `CO to` Carboxyhaemoglobin It will not carry oxygen to different parts of the body. It will cause suffocation and ultimately death.
