We are given: `u = 30 ms^(-1), v = 20 ms^(-1)` and t = 5s.
We are to calculate, Retardation (-a) and distance (S)
Using relation: v= u+ at , we get
`a= (v-u)/(t)=(20-30)/(5)= -2 ms^(-2)`
Using relation `S= ut+ (1)/(2)at^(2)` or, `S= 30 xx 5+ (1)/(2)(-2) xx 5^(2)= 150 -25= 125m`
