Can Bernoulli’s equation be used to describe the flow of water through a rapid in a river? Explain.

Text Solution

Since Bernoulli.s theorem is applicable only for ideal fluids in a streamline flow. But the flow of water cannot be treated as streamline motion, so Bernoulli.s theorem cannot be used in case of rapid motion in a river.
