We are given:
Output i.e. useful work done per minute `= 5.4 xx 10^(8)J`
  Input i.e., heat absorbed per minute `= 3.6 xx 10^(9) J`
We are to calculate, efficiency and heat wasted per minute.
We know that , Efficiency `= ("Output")/("Input") xx 100 = (5.4 xx 10^(8))/(3.6 xx 10^(9)) xx 100 = 15%`
Also, `("Heat wasted")/("Minute") = ("Heat absorbed")/("Minute") - ("Useful work")/("Minute")`
`= 3.6 xx 10^(9) - 5.4 xx 10^(8) = 10^(9)(3.6 - 0.54) = 3.06 xx 10^(9)J`
