Explanation

Swarts reaction : The synthesis of alkyl flourides is best done by heating alkyl chloride/bromide in the presence of metallic flouride such as `AgF, Hg_2F,CdF_2 or SbF_5`. This reaction is known as swarts reaction. For example :
