Functions :
(i) Proteins are one of the main constituent of protoplasma of plant and animal cell.
(ii) As enzymes, they catalysc biochemical reactions.
(iii) As hormones, they regulate metabolic processes.
(iv) As Antibodies, they protect the body against toxic substances.
