A new type of cell which has found use in small electrical devices. Anode: Zinc, Cathode: mercury oxide,
cell reactions:
At Anode: `Zn (Hg) + 2OH^(-) rarr ZnO(s) + H_(2)O + 2e^(-)`
At Cathode: `ul("HgO (s) Amalgam" + H_(2)O + 2e^(-) rarr Hg(l) + 2OH^(-))`
Overall cell reaction: `ul(Zn(Hg) + HgO (s) rarr ZnO(s) + Hg(l))`
Uses: It is used in camera, hand watch and hearing aids.
voltage: The voltage of mercury cell is approximate 1.35V.
