For a reaction, `A to` products to be zero order. If time taken for 50 % completion is 2 mins, find the time required for 75 % completion of reaction.

A

2 min

B

3 min

C

15 min

D

none of the above

The correct Answer is:
B

Hint: `t = [A]_0 = [A]//K`
For 50 % completion, 2 = 100-50/k.... equation no. 1 .
Similarly for 75% completion, t= 100 – 25/k .... equation no. 2,
Divide equation 2/1 = 75 k/50 k=3/2.
So, t/2 = 3/2 hence t=3
