Aldehydes have lower boiling points than the corresponding alcohols. Explain.

Alcohols and acids show intermolecular hydrogen bonding. But no intermolecular H-bonding occur in aldehydes and ketones. Therefore attractive forces in aldehydes and ketones are less and thus have low boiling points
