What type of aldehyde and ketones undergo Cannizzaro's reaction ?

Kentones do not undergo Cannizzaro.s reaction. Only those aldehydes undergo Cannizzaro.s reaction which do not have `alpha`-hydrogen e.g, formaldehyde or methenal (HCHO), benzaldehyde `(C_6H_5 CHO) `etc.
