Lactobacillus is prokaryote because it is made up of prokaryotic cell of bacterium. Bacterium cell is a prokaryotic cell because its nuclear material is not surrounded by a nuclear membrane. The nuclear material is in direct contact with the cytoplasm and the nucleus is not well organised.
