Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The type of reactions in which there is an exchange of ions between the reactants are called double displaced reactions.
`Na_2SO_4 + BaCl_2 to BaSO_4 + 2NaCl`
White precipitate of `BaSO_4` is formed by the reactidine` SO_4^(2-)` and `Ba^(2+)` ions. The other product formed is sidium chloride, which remains in the solution.
