Why will a sheet of paper fall slower than one that is crumpled into a ball?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

This is because the air offers resistance to the motion, due to friction to the falling objects. The resistance offered to the sheet of paper is more than the resistance offered by air to the ball form. Also wind may deflect the sheet of paper sideways.
