Calculate the force of gravitation between the earth and the sun, given the mass of earth = `6xx 10^24 kg `and of the sun = `2 xx10^30 kg`. Average distance between the two is` 1.5xx 10^10m`.

Distance between earth and sun,
`r = 1.5 xx 10^(11) m`
Gravitational constant,
`G = 6.67 xx 10^(-11) Nm^(2) kg^(-2)`
By universal law of gravitation,
`F = (G xx m_(1) xx m_(2))/(r^(2))`
`6.67 xx 10^(-11) Nm^(2) kg^(-2) xx 6`
`F = ( xx 10^(24) kg xx 2 xx 10^(30)kg)/((1.5 xx 10^(11) m)^(2))`
`= (80.04 xx 10^(43) Nm^(2))/(2.25 xx 10^(22) m^(2))`
`= 35.57 xx 10^(21)N`.
