The sound from a mosquito is produced when it vibrates its wings at an average rate of 500 vibrations per second. What is the time period of the vibration?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

In 1 second 500 vibration is made. i.e. 500 vibration takes 1 second.
`therefore` 1 vibration will take =`1/500` second
Time period = `1/500` = 0.002 seconds
0.002 second is the time period of vibration as time period is defined as the time taken to complete one vibration.
