In these question, a statement of assertion followed by a statement of reason is given .Choose the correct answer out of the following choices: Assertion and reason both are correct statements and reason is correct explanation for assertion. Assertion and reason both are correct statements but reason is not correct explanation for assertion. Assertion is correct statement but reason is wrong statement. Assertion is wrong statement but reason is correct statement. Assertion: the frequencies of incident ,reflected and refracted beam of monochromatic light incident from one medium to another are same. Reason: The incident, reflected and refracted rays are coplanar.

Juhi wants to buy a bicycle. She goes to the market and finds that the bicycle she likes is available for ₹1800. Juhi has ₹ 600 with her. So, she tells the shopkeeper that she would not be able to buy it. The shopkeeper, after a bit of calculation, makes the following offer. He tells Juhi that she could take the bicycle by making a payment of ₹600 cash down and the remaining money could be made in two monthly instalments of ₹610 each. Juhi has two options one is to go for instalment scheme or to make cash payment by taking loan from a bank which is available at the rale of 10% per annum simple interest. Which option is more economical to her?

A wire AB is carrying a steady current of 12A and is lying on the table. Another wire CD carrying 5A is held directly above AB at a height of 1mm. Find the mass per unit length of the wire CD so that it remains suspended at its position when left free. Give the direction of the current flowing in CD with respect to that in AB. [Take the value of g = 10ms^-2 ]

A colloidal solution is a type of mixture which consists of particles whose size varies between 1 and 1000 nanometres. In colloidal solution the particles are distributed evenly. During this process the particles do not settle down. This is one of the best know thing about colloidal solutions. Properties of colloids and their variation are a well-known area ever since the primitive age. The best example to prove their familiarity with us is that we know from very early times that coagulation of milk results in the formation of curd. Physical properties of colloids 1. The nature of the colloidal solution is heterogeneous i.e. unlike. These solutions dwell with two different phases : • Dispersed medium Dispersed phase. 2. Despite the fact that colloidal dispersions are unlike in description (nature), yet the dispersed fragments are not detectabJe by the human eye. This is due to the microscopic size of the particles in the solution. 3. The colour of the colloidal dispersion is determined by particles in the solution based on their size. The wavelengths of light that is absorbed will be longer ifthe size of the particle is large. 4. As a result of its size, the colloidal fragments can easily be passed through a traditional filter paper. However, these particles can be filtered by using membranes such as animal, cellophane, and ultrafilters. Give the name of membrane used for filteration ?

When light passes from one medium to another medium, which one of these quantities, remains unchanged.

If imu_j represents refractive index, when a light ray goes from medium i to medum j,then the product ^ 2mu_1 xx ^3mu_2 xx ^4mu_3 is equal to

When monochromatic light travels from one medium to another, its wavelength changes but its frequency remains the same. Why?
