Microbes play very important role in nature. They are both useful and harmful (causing diseases).
1. They are used for making various household products like curd, cheese, Toddy, Dosa etc.
2. For making various industrial products like Alcohol.
3. They produce antibiotics e.g. penicllin.
4. They produce various enzymes and bioactive molecules, organic acids etc. e.g., Acetic Acid, Lipases etc.
5. They are used in Biogas production in Biogas plant.
6. They help in treatment of sewage in STP.
