Transgenic bacteria are the genetically modified bacteria where foreign desirable genes introduced e.g., The genetically modified streptococcus produce the enzyme streptokinase.
It is used as clot-buster for removing clots from blood vessels of patients who have undergone cardial infraction leading to heart attack.
