Swarts reaction : The synthesis of alkyl fluorides is best done by heating alkyl chloride/bromide in the presence of metallic fluoride such as `AgF, Hg_2 F_2 CoF_2 or SbF_5` This reaction is known as Swarts reaction. For example.
