A wire is cut across a flux of `0.2x10(-2)` weber in 0.12 seconds. What is the e.m.f. induced in the wire ?

Text Solution

When a wire cuts across a flux then magnetic flux changes from maximum value `0 cdot 2 xx 10^(-2)` wb to zero.
`therefore d phi = 0 cdot 2 xx10^(-2)` wb
`dt=0 cdot 12 s`
Induced emf `=e= (d phi)/(dt)`
`=(0 cdot2 xx10^(-2))/(0 cdot 12)`
`e=1 cdot 67 xx10^(-2)` volt
