Organic farming may be defined as the production of unpolluted plant products by the use of manures, biofertilisers, biopesticides with healthy cropping system, like crop rotation, mixed cropping, intercropping, etc. and without the use of chemicals, like fertilisers, herbicides, pesticides, etc. Biofertilisers include nitrogen fixing organisms-bacteria or blue green algae. Biopesticides are organisms or their extracts which repel or kill weeds, insects and other pests.
