Greenhouse gases are responsible for trapping heat and thereby warming up earth.s atmosphere to a temperature which is conducive to the formation of molecules of life such as water, amino acids, etc. If there are no greenhouse gases, the earth would have remained as cold as Mars and life would not have originated.
