Crystals of some salts contain certain amount of associated water .The water associated with the crystal (or molecule) of any salt is called water of crystallisation . The hydrated salt is known as washing soda which is sodium carbonate containing 10 molecules of water of crystallization , i.e ., it is sodium carbonate decahydrate .Its molecular formula is `Na_(2)CO_(3).10H_(2)O`.
