A camel walks easily on sandy surface than a man in spite of the fact that a camel is much heavier than a man. Explain.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Camels feet are broad and the larger area of the feet reduces the pressure exerted by the body on the sand, as it gets distributed to larger area. But when we have to walk on the same sand, we sink because the pressure exerted by our body is not distributed over large area like that in case of camels and we sink more in the sand while walking.
